Chloe DeSteno

Piano & Voice

Chloe DeSteno is a singer, composer, and music teacher based in the Boston Area. In her own performances, she integrates elements of classical, chamber folk, and dream pop into her sound, while composing works for a variety of instruments including solo piano, voice, and the orchestra. Also performing on piano, baritone ukulele, Celtic harp, and kalimba, she enjoys composing and arranging music for a variety of ensembles. Classically trained, she is versed in many genres including pop, jazz, musical theater, and Celtic music. She is also experienced in ear training and music theory.

Chloe is currently pursuing a degree in vocal performance and composition at Berklee College of Music, where she performs and premiers her compositions regularly. Some of her most recent concerts include an original work for voice and harp that she performed at the Old South Church in Boston and a piano trio she composed that was selected to be premiered at the Berk Recital Hall.

Some of her previous teaching experience includes working as a music director at LINX. There, she provided individual vocal coaching while working with groups of primarily middle school-aged children to put on twice annual musicals. Providing virtual voice lessons during the pandemic, she strives to help people connect through the arts. One of her most recent projects includes music directing a production of The Secret Garden at Emerson College this spring. As a teacher, she values the opportunity to inspire students and help them reach their goals while building their confidence in a positive and encouraging environment.
