David Moore has a Bachelor's of Music in Drum Set Performance from Berklee College of Music. He has been teaching private drum lessons, group percussion classes, and other music instruction for over 20 years. As a performer, David has performed or recorded with a wide range of jazz and world music luminaries including Dave Tronzo, Cleveland Eaton, Ches Smith, Sheryl Bailey, Marshall Wood (of Tony Bennett's Band), Slavic Soul Party, Chip Jackson, Joe Pino, and many others. He can be heard locally every Tuesday night at The Mayflower in Ipswich, MA with Tom Palance and Friends, and runs the Jazz Jam Session at Backbeat Brewing Company in Beverly, MA every Saturday afternoon. David sums up his philosophy of teaching and learning music thusly;
"The most important thing in learning anything is desire. My goal as a teacher is to help you turn that desire into a love for the art of drumming and music through the development of concrete skills and demonstrable improvement. Talent is nothing but the meeting of desire with effective practice, and my hope is to give you the tools for that practice."
