Simon Lace is a guitarist and banjo player from Northern California. After learning rock, metal, and jazz on electric guitar from the age of 9, he found himself playing in various bands playing guitar, bass, and drums. He found his love for Irish traditional music at music camps such as Alasdair Fraser’s Sierra Fiddle Camp and Lark Camp. While studying composition and jazz at San Francisco State University, Simon honed his guitar and banjo skills in the SF Bay Area trad community. Since moving to Boston, he has become a fixture in the Celtic music scene and can be regularly heard playing at pubs such as The Burren, The Druid, Emmet’s, and more.
